About Ashdod Sand Dune
Ashdod Sand Dune is a psammosere environment close to the metropolis of Ashdod on the Israeli Coastal Plain near the Mediterranean sea. It is south of Tel Aviv and represents the panorama on which most of modern-day Israel turned into built following diverse Aliyahs and the Establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. Formerly, sand dunes ruled the coast of Israel with 462 square kilometres of dunes, of which over 3-quarters had been south of Tel Aviv.
Over the previous few many years the dunes were replaced with towns, commercial areas, and electricity plants, and the dune landscape has steadily disappeared. Thus, one of the maximum feature and critical elements of the Israeli panorama is hastily vanishing. The biggest remnant of Israel's coastal sand dunes is among Ashdod and Ashkelon. This is the only a part of the panorama that also keeps its transferring sands with its attendant animal and flora and marks of bygone civilizations.
