Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Aqsa Mosque is situated in the old city of Jerusalem, the third most sacrosanct place in Islam. The mosque depended on the Temple Mount, which is known for the sake of Harim Ash-Sharif in Islam. Muslims assume that Muhammad was transported from the Sacred Mosque in Mecca to al-Aqsa in the midst of the Night Journey. Islamic custom holds that Muhammad drove petitions towards this site until the seventeenth month after his development from Mecca to Medina, when Allah guided him to turn towards the Kaaba in Mecca.

The anchored mosque building was at first a little supplication house raised by Umar, the second caliph of the Rashidun Caliphate, yet was changed and reached out by the Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik and wrapped up by his kid al-Walid in 705 CE. The mosque was completely destroyed by a tremor in 746 and revamped by the Abbasid caliph al-Mansur in 754. It was revamped again in 780. Another seismic tremor destroyed a vast segment of al-Aqsa in 1033, yet following two years the Fatimid caliph Ali az-Zahir created another mosque whose chart is protected in the present structure. The mosaics on the bend at the qibla end of the nave similarly come back to his shot.
