County Offaly is a county in Ireland. It is a part of the Midlands Region and is also located within the province of Leinster. It is known as after the ancient Kingdom of Uí Failghe and turned into formerly called King's County. Offaly County Council is the local authority for the county. The county population become seventy seven,961 at the 2016 census. Tullamore is the county town and largest metropolis in Offaly and is the thirtieth largest in Ireland. Offaly borders seven counties: Galway, Roscommon, Tipperary, Laois, Westmeath, Kildare and Meath. The Slieve Bloom Mountains are within the southern a part of the county at the border with County Laois.
Offaly has the twenty fourth highest county top in Ireland. The maximum factor is Arderin inside the Slieve Blooms at 527 metres. The Slieve Bloom Mountains include the county's highest points together with Stillbrook Hill and Wolftrap Mountain which are the county's second and 1/3 maximum peaks. Croghan Hill rises from the Bog of Allen and is placed in northern Offaly. Although simplest 234 metres high, it's miles known for its view over the encircling location and it stands out by itself.
