About Buncrana
Buncrana is a metropolis in County Donegal, Ireland. It is beside Lough Swilly at the Irishwomen peninsula, 23 kilometers northwest of Derry and forty three kilometers north of Letter Kenny. In the 2016 census, the populace changed into 6,785 making it the second maximum populous city in County Donegal, after Letter Kenny, and the biggest in Irishwomen. Buncrana is the historical home of the O Doherty clan and at first evolved across the protecting tower known as O Doherty's Keep on the mouth of the River Crana.
The metropolis moved to its present region just south of the River Crana when George Vaughan constructed the primary avenue in 1718. On the northern bank of the River Crana because it enters Lough Swilly sits the three-story O Doherty's Keep, that is the best surviving part of an original 14th-century Norman fortress.
