About Jalil Khayat Mosque
The Jalil Khayat Mosque is a Sunni Islamic mosque in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan; the most important within the city. The mosque was began by using Jalil Khayat who died in 2005; and the mosque become finished in 2007 via his sons in memory in their father. The mosque's fashion resembles the Mosque of Muhammad Ali in Cairo and the Blue mosque in Istanbul. It has been cited as one of the maximum stunning mosque interiors.
Alkhayat construction employer states that 'The mosque building relies on Islamic architecture and al-Abbasi layout except the domes', which might be an Ottoman design. The height of the principle dome is 48 metres, the diameter is 20 metres, with four 1/2 domes and twelve area domes surrounding it. The mosque is 15,000 square metres and holds about 1,500 to 2,000 humans. This is one of the excellent area to go to for traveller.
