Al Habbaniyah or Habbaniya is a metropolis in Al-Anbar Province, in critical Iraq. A army airfield, RAF Habbaniya, became the site of a struggle in 1941, at some stage in World War II. Lake Habbaniyah is likewise close by. On 25 May 1941, Second Battalion of the Fourth Gurkha Rifles, forming part of 10 Indian Infantry Division, changed into airlifted to boost and secure Habbaniyah, which become a Royal Air Force airfield under risk from Iraqi floor troops and the German Luftwaffe, located in Mosul, and Baghdad.
