Chitgar Lake

Lake Chitgar is an artificial and recreational lake located to the north of Chitgar Park in northwestern Tehran, Iran. Otherwise called the Lake of the Martyrs of the Persian Gulf, the complex has an aggregate territory of around 250 hectares; 130 hectares over the lake and 120 hectares on its beach front zone and resorts. Around 80% of the waterway originates from Kan Creek, and the staying 20% originates from focal zones and surface spillovers of the region. In 1968, inside the primary ground breaking strategy of the city of Tehran, it was wanted to develop a lake in western Tehran.
