Affandi Museum

Affandi, Indonesia's most praised artist, worked in a brilliantly self-designed riverside home studio, situated around 6km east of the town center.The building is uniquely constructed with a roof that resembles a banana leaf.

Today it is known as the Affandi Museum, a must for any self-respecting art lover. It has a broad collection of his abstract paintings around 250 paintings, an expressionist style featuring his distinctive curled strokes reminiscent of Van Gogh.
