Yellapur

Yellapur is a town in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka in the country of India. Arecanut is the primary crop grown in the villages that surround the city, making it one of the major trading centres for the crop. 90% of the general population in Yellapur are agriculturists who develop Arecanut and paddy. Yellapur is situated in the Western Ghats segment of Karnataka. Yellapur is situated at 14.97°N 74.72°E. It has a normal rise of 541 meters 1774 feet.

Yellapur has two well known characteristic falls, and numerous different slopes and valleys. Satoddi Falls is a standout amongst the most surely understood falls in Karnataka. It is at a separation of 25 km from the town of Yellapur. It isn't conceivable to visit the falls in blustery season. November to April is the best time to visit the falls. On the edges of Yellapur, going towards Hubli, is the left turn that prompts Satoddi. Some portion of the street is an all-climate street yet a segment, about 33% the separation, isn't motorable amid downpours. Magod Falls is arranged 19 km far from Yellapur, in the town of Magodu.

Here, the Bedthi stream takes two unmistakable jumps to tear from a stature of 650 ft. into a rough gorge. Close to the falls, there is a dusk point called Jenu Kallu Gudda where you can see an excellent perspective of the sun set. There is a town called Kalache only 30 km from Yellapur. Many sightseers visit this place each year. In transit from Yellapura to Magod falls, there is a lake amidst a woods called Kavdi Kere.
