Treta Ke Thakur

The legend says that Lord Rama performed the Ashwagandha Yagya in this place. A new temple has been built at this site with idols of Rama, Lakshman, Sita, Bharat, Shatrughan etc.The temple restored the original idols carved out of single black sandstone, which were wrecked over the time.

The temple opens only once in a year, on Ekadashi (eleventh day) of Shukla Paksha in Kartik month.Ekadashi of shukla paksha in the month of kartik is celebrated with pomp and gaiety. Doors of this temple open only once in a year, on this auspicious day. Devotees from far and flung places visit this temple to get darshan of the deity.

Kapats of ‘Treta ke Thakur’ temple open on Kartik Shukla Ekadashi. Since the temple opens only once in a year, a special pooja is performed on this day. Huge number of devotees visits the temple to offer prayers to the deities.
