Tikarpada wildlife Sanctuary

The Tikarpada Wildlife Sanctuary is a paradise for the wildlife lovers. It is considered as one of the most enchanting spots in the state. Situated in the village of Tikarpada in Angul district, it is a famous sanctuary, a home to a varied flora and fauna.

The sanctuary is circled by the Satkosia gorge, formed by the Mahanadi River amidst the bounteous Hills. The Gharwale Sanctuary located within is a breeding place for Gharials released in the Mahanadi river. The sanctuary comprises various species of snakes, turtles, crocodiles etc.
