About Thiruchendur arch

The Thiruchendur arch is well known historical landmark in Thiruchendur. It is the main entrance to the most famous temple of Thiruchendur, the Murugan temple.

The welcome arch is huge and can be easily spotted in the front of the temple. It leads the pilgrims towards a very long walkway. The Gopuram is long and made of red sandstone. It's height is about 133 feet. Many shops and stalls can be found in the area.
