The Town Square

A famous fascination in Margao, the Town Square is situated in the focal point of Margao and is involved two gardens, the Agha Khan Market and the Municipal Library. The northern section of the metropolitan garden was created by the Mavany family and is named after Agha Khan, soon after his visit to Goa. His visit was before the attack of Goa and now the whole garden is metropolitan property and kept up by the MMC.

The statue of Luis de Menezes Braganza and an open library are different attractions in the Town Square. The Margao Library has books in different dialects, for example, Hindi, Marathi, Konkani, English, and Portuguese.
