About The Buxa Tiger Reserve

It was set up at the northeastern corner of West Bengal, flanking Bhutan and Assam, on sixteenth February 1983 and was the fifteenth tiger hold of the nation. The woods constituting of the Buxa Tiger Reserve is the biggest in the Dooars. Crossing over an astounding 759 sq. kms, this tiger hold is crossed by a few streams and their tributaries and is pleased with a differing and stunning scene. Truth be told, on account of the rough territory, numerous parts of the backwoods in the Buxa slopes that lie in the Sinchula Range are difficult to reach by the experts, and thus stay unexplored even after such a significant number of years.
