Tashijong

The religious community is situated in Tashi Jong town, which is a little provincial territory arranged amongst Paprola and Taragarh. The cloister complex houses the fundamental sanctuary, the stupa of Khamtrul Rinpoche, and the Yamantak Retreat Center which is limited to the overall population. Tashi Jong Buddhist Monastery is arranged around 15kms from Palampur. Home to the Drugpa Kagyu convention of Buddhism, this religious community is one of the schools of Kagyu custom built up by eighth Khamtrul Rinpoche, Dongyu Nyima.

It was composed by Khamtrul Rinpoche, the whole building is decorated with woodcarving, plating and painting. Aside from being a religious community, Tashi Jong is a phenomenal art emporium, where Tibetan relics are available. Several sign of Buddha has additionally been put in the cloister including the Buddha Shakyamuni.
