About Talacauvery

This is a sacred place of the Kodavas. So one can expect a temple of Kodavas in here. This beautiful place is the source of the great river - Kaveri. Located on the Hill of Brahmagiri, this place is located at an astonishing height of about 1270 meters above the sea level. This river Kaveri is considered as one of the holy rivers of India. So it has much significance.

Many people come here to bathe in the river Kaveri. This is one of the most interesting places to visit as many pilgrims visit this place to see the water gushing out at a predetermined moment. This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Coorg. Basically, this is a pilgrimage center, but the views which this place offers is beautiful too! The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Kaveriamma.
