About Sulur
Sulur is a taluk situated in Coimbatore urban region of Tamil Nadu, India. It is a suburb of the Coimbatore city. It is additionally a Legislative Constituency and is under the Coimbatore Parliament Constituency. Sulur was called Suralur until the ninth century and from the ninth century to fourteenth century it was called Ariyapirati Nallur, amid the administration of Aditya Cholan. Until the point that the eighteenth century it was called Sundrapandiya Nallur, amid the administration of Sundra Pandiyan. From eighteenth century it was called Suranur, which at the appointed time got changed to Sulur.
