About Stok Palace Museum

Stok Palace Museum is situated in Stok Ladhak which is 15 kilometres south to Leh. It was founded by Lama Lhawang in 14th Century.It includes 108 volumes of the Kangyur. An dance-mask festival is also held annually here. Near by 71 feet high Gautama Buddha statue is also there which is soo beautiful which is constructed in between 2012 – 2015. There are many valuable things in this museum. A place to see Rich Ladakhi culture even it is a small museum but the collections you see here is soo mesmerizing. Many people came here too see the museum. The best of the Museum is Queen's ceremonial jewellery and headgear of the rulers. This history of Ladakhi and stored ancient stuff. So,it is worth visiting this place once in life time.
