Statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Gandhi Maidan is Standing tall at 72 feet, that gladly held the refinement of the biggest statue of Bapu on the planet until today. Ravindra Prasad, the Chief Engineer of the State Building Construction Department, said that the statue of Gandhi itself is 40 feet high however with the platform achieving 24 feet and another eight feet for the stairs, the aggregate stature of the structure is estimated at 72 feet making it the tallest Gandhi statue on the planet. The bronze statue in which the Father of the Nation is flanked by two kids from the two sides, has been worked at the cost of Rs. 10 crore supported by the Bihar government, Prasad said including the statue was worked by Delhi's famous stone carver firm Ramsutar and Sons.
