Shirud

It is renowned for a sanctuary dedicated to the Goddess Kali, which was worked in Hemadpanthi Style. Situated on the juncture of two streams, this town lies in the Dhule District. Where the Kali Devi sanctuary is found has been pronounced as an ensured site in view of its authentic significance.

According to history, this sanctuary was developed in 1200 AD, which was later reproduced at the time Maratha administration. Real fascination of this sanctuary is the festival of the renowned Navratri Festival. Celebrated for very nearly a time of 10 days, a reasonable known as Jatra is held amid February.
