Sejjeshwar Temple

This sanctuary is at a separation of only 8 Kms from Karwar. It is accepted to be a thousand years of age. Shejjeshwar sanctuary is among one of the five sanctuaries where bits of Atma-lingam, which Ravana was conveying, are accepted to have been dropped. Shejjeshwar Temple is also called Siddeshwar Temple. As indicated by conviction, this sanctuary is one among the five sanctuaries that constitute the Gokarna history. Another well known legend says that the parts of Atma-lingam taken away by the ruler Ravana fell at Shejjeshwar Temple. It is one of the famous temple and tourists are come here from all over the world
