Sayedani Maa Tomb

It is a tribute of a son to his mother's memory and her values in life. It was constructed in 1883 AD. The Saidani Maa Ki Dargah is a stunning mausoleum was built with lovely lattice work and the grave has been fashioned in the prevalent fashion of the day - a combination of Qutb Shahi and Mughal styles of building.Saidanimba Tomb is one of the finest examples of architectural grandeur in Secunderabad, which unfortunately is not given the attention it richly deserves.

Owing to discoloration, the brilliance of architecture displayed is lost on the eyes of a hurried passer-by. Constructed by Abdul Haq Diler Jung in 1883, the tomb is a fine blend of Mughal and Qutb Shahi architecture. If you have an eye for architecture, you will overlook the discoloration to enjoy the stunning workmanship.

The onion shaped dome is so frequently found in Islamic architecture. Both the interior and exterior of the tomb are decorated with fine arches and stucco works and the top is covered by an onion-shaped dome and has been carved intricately with marble lattice work. On the upper pavilion are the small Minarets and These unique lime and mortar Minarets are beautifully carved and have marble inlay work on them.Inside the mausoleum, there is an underground chamber where only women are permitted to enter.
