About Sa-Ngor-Chotshog Centre

Sa-Ngor-Chotshog Center is situated in the Upper Tathangchen area of Gangtok and it is an ideal spot to look for otherworldliness. Its unparalleled magnificence and breathtaking design is the key fascination. Sa-Ngor-Chotshog Center is a religious spot and a devout establishment for the Tibetan displaced person. This prominent fascination was built up in the year 1961 by the Head of Ngorpa, Eminence Luding Khen Rimpoche and it is honored by the Dalai Lama and HH Sakya Trizin.

This is the only monastery in Sikkim that has a place with the Sakya Order of Tibetan Buddhism. The tranquil dividers of this landmark is loaded up with paintings and numerous thangkas. The religious community additionally houses an extensive statue of Buddha in a Shakyamuni structure and a stupa outside, enlivened with rippling petition banners.
