About Rashtrapathi Nilayam

Rashtrapathi Nilayam initially called Residency House is the official retreat of the President of India located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India wherein the President stays at least once a year and conducts reputable commercial enterprise. It is also used as a guest house for touring dignitaries. It is located in Bolarum, Secunderabad. It become thrown open for public viewing from 1 January to 10 January, with access being loose.

Originally the Residency House, became built in 1860 via Nizam Nazir-ud-Dowla. It have become the usa house of the British Resident at Secunderabad. After the Hyderabad kingdom's liberation in 1948, it have become President's retreat and used as Southern Sojourn. The 16-room property is spread over a place of 90 acres, consisting of unmarried storied building except site visitors' quarters that could accommodate 150 people. It has a Dining Hall, Darbar Hall, Morning room, Cinema Hall and so forth. Unique issue of this Rashtrapati Nilayam is that the kitchen and dining corridor are impartial homes related with an underground tunnel to take meals.
