Raigad Fort

It is a landmark of prophetic vision of Hindavi Swarajya and used to be the capital of Maratha sovereign. This fortress was kept up and sustained under the supervision of Chhatrapati Shivaji. It is set at a height of 2700 ft on a wedge-formed shake, making it out of reach from three sides. To achieve this fortification, the ropeway accommodated the reason for existing is to be utilized.

This ropeway is known as the Raigad Ropeway and was built by Jog Engineering Limited JEL in 1996. The premises and surroundings of this stronghold incorporate the Samadhi of Shivaji and his devoted canine alongside the Balekilla, which gives the perspectives of Sayadris and the Bhatghar Lake.
