About Prasanna Virupaksha temple

Prasanna Virupaksha temple is one in all oldest temples in Hampi. Built at some point of the reign of the Vijayanagara Empire. It is one of the popular temples which can be visited by means of vacationers at the Hampi path. The Prasanna Virupaksha temple dates again to the 14th century AD. The temple is dedicated to Prasanna Virupaksha, an avatar of Lord Shiva. The temple stands amidst a stunning garden protected in inexperienced. The temple has remained buried for over 400 years before it was found in the 1980’s decade.
It is assumed that Vijayanagara ruler Krishnadevaraya had donated appreciably to this temple.
