Poiman Karadu

Poiman Karadu lies at a distance of 9 kms from the city of Salem. It is located on the Salem-Namakkal National Highway. It is a hilltop which forms a view point offering a panoramic view of the entire valley.

The most interesting feature of the place is that, if viewed from a particular point, it gives a mirage of a deer with two horns. There is a cave below the hill. A temple located here attracts visitors and gives the place a different ambience altogether. Tourists can also enjoy trekking in the rocks of Poiman Karadu although it can be quite a challenging feat.
