The Pickering House is a First Period Colonial residence placed on Broad Street, Salem inside the McIntire Historic District. The residence was owned and occupied with the aid of ten successive generations of the Pickering circle of relatives inclusive of Colonel Timothy Pickering. This house is assumed to were the oldest residence within the United States continuously occupied with the aid of one circle of relatives.
