Peacock Bay

Peacock Bay is a part of Khadakwasla Dam's lake. This bay is owned by the National Defence Academy, Pune The call is because of the large numbers of peacocks located on this vicinity. Other animals determined on this place are deer, lion-tailed macaques and civets. This lake covers a place of about 501 km2, and the depth varies from 40 to 120 feet. This bay hosts various competitions just like the annual national inland championship, open lake swimming competition, and so forth.

This lake is a venue for water sports activities in Pune. This bay is simply 03 km away from Pune and is situated on Mutha River. Many humans come right here on weekends and all through the monsoon season. Scenic locations around the dam consist of Peacock Bay, Kudje village, and Neelkanteshwar, positioned close to Bahuli village simply beyond Kudje. The Sinhagad road, bordering the dam, has become a fave picnic spot. There is a "Chowpatty" supplying snacks, fast meals and non-alcoholic liquids.
