Patteeswaram Temple is located in Patteeswaram, Tamil Nadu, Lord Shiva is worshipped in this temple and Parvati is depicted as Somakamalambigai. The deities in this temple was made in 7th century. Muthupandal festival celebrated in the temple. This temple has a number of shrines from which Durga, being the most prominent. Made from large concentric rectangular granite walls. People came here to seek the blessings and bath the sins . The temple has six daily rituals at different times in between 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Brahmotsavam festival is celebrated during April - May Month. This temple is built by Cholas which presents a magnificent sight with five gopurams and three prakarams . So, it is worth visiting this place once in life time .
