About Patan Devi

This Temple is located in Patna, Bihar. The sanctuary reveres the dark stone symbols of Goddess Kali, Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Saraswati and Bhairav in a standing stance. The Choti Patan Devi Temple, arranged in the region, merits going to. It is trusted that Patna infers its name after the Bari Patan and Choti Patan Devi sanctuaries. Otherwise called Maa Patneshwari, this is a standout amongst the most holy and the most seasoned sanctuary in Patna.

It is trusted that Patna got its name from Patan Devi. This sanctuary is exceptionally venerated by the Hindus as it is one of the 51 shakti peethas as per the Hindu folklore. It is trusted that the correct thigh of Devi Sati fell here when the entire body was sliced in to 51 pieces by Vishnu's Sudarshan Chakra.
