Parumala Church

Parumala Church is at a separation of 35 Kms from Pathanamthitta and situated on a little island on the banks of Pampa River close Mannar, near SH6 12 Kms from Thiruvalla. The congregation is known as St. Subsides and St. Paul's Orthodox Church. The yearly celebration Ormapperunnal is hung on November second each year. Enthusiasts from everywhere throughout the state go to the unique supplications offered on this birthday celebration of the holy person.

This congregation contains the mortals of St.Gregorios of Parumala known as Parumala Thirumeni who was the main announced holy person of Malankara Orthodox Church Indian Orthodox Church. It is one of the renowned journey habitats for Christians in Kerala. The greater part of the present structure of the congregation was worked in mid nineteenth century. This place can be come to by transport from Chengannur and Thirunalla.
