About Pakhui wildlife sanctuary

Pakhui wildlife sanctuary is a sanctuary will allow you to get a closer look at the beautiful animals with whom we share this earth with. It is home to the great royal Bengal tiger and also has a rich flora and fauna.

Every year the migratory birds decorate this sanctuary. Almost 300 varieties of birds are found here and all have different seasons to migrate here. Apart from the birds and royal Bengal tiger there are other animals like Himalayan black bear, elephant, jungle cat, jackal, hog deer, barking deer, yellow-throated martin, boar, etc.

People who like to get indulged with nature must visit this place. It is advised to carry your own binoculars so that you do not miss the sight of many rare birds and animals. This sanctuary is also known as the Pakke tiger reserve and the main mission here is to save the dying Bengal tiger.
