The Old Godai Bridge otherwise called The Havelock Bridge is a decommissioned connects that traverses the Godai River in Andhra Pradesh, India. Charged in 1900, the scaffold served trains employing amongst Howrah and Madras. It is the soonest of three scaffolds that range the Godai River at Rajahmundry. The Godai Arch Bridge was later developed as a trade for the Havelock Bridge. The development of the extension initiated on 11 November 1897 and opened for activity on 30 August 1900. The Bridge was named after Sir Arthur Elibank Havelock, the then Governor of Madras. Frederick Thomas Granville Walton filled in as the Engineer-in-boss helped by official designers R. A. Delanougerede, F. D. Couchman, J. E. Eaglesome. The scaffold was built with stone brick work and steel supports. It has 56 ranges every one of 45.7 meters 150 ft and is 3,480 meters 11,420 ft long. The rail connects served the bustling Howrah-Chennai line until its decommissioning.
Having served its full life expectancy of 100 years, it was decommissioned in 1997, and Godai Arch Bridge was worked as a substitution for the extension. Today, the extension is being utilized to have urban water supply pipelines.
