Nathu La Pass

This place is located at 14000 feet above the sea level! Nestled in the mountains, this pass will never disappoint you.Being about 56 km Gangtok, this is second most interesting and amazing place to visit. This is the very place where a part of the silk route was being operated. History tells us that many mules, camels, and other animals used to carry items from Tibet to India. Items being precious silk, gold, and other precious stones.

During the Indo China wars, many Indian soldiers died. So a memorial was constructed at this place. The memorial honored the lives of the soldiers who died in that war. This is one of the most peaceful borders to China. The solders are quite friendly in here. The scenic and picturesque view that this place gives is just amazing! But due to its high altitude factor, the oxygen levels are quite low so be careful. Old people need to take extra caution. The picturesque view which this place offers is just amazing and wil blow your mind. This is one of the must visit place in Sikkim.
