Nagaraja Temple

The name for the town Nagercoil began from this temple. The temple has countless statues of serpents. The temple has two fundamental gods, Krishna and Nagaraja. The upadevathas are Shiva, Subrahmanya Swami, Ganesha, Devi and Dwarapalaka. Nagaraja Temple is a Hindu temple revering Nagaraja arranged at the core of Nagercoil town.

As antiquated convention the clerics are Namboothiri Brahmins who are alluded by Pambumekkat mana in Thrissur, Kerala. This temple has its own identity and history. The temple has an immense lake. Lovers offer drain and turmeric powder as a piece of their supplications to the Nagas in the temple.
