Mukteshwar Dham

The 350 years old antique Shiva temple in Mukteshwar Dham is located on pinnacle of a hill. The stone stairs lead you to the deity’s abode. It is thought the lord Shiva killed a demon right here and granted him salvation, as a result the name Mukteshwar. Mukteshwar Dham become an domicile to Saint Shri Mukteshwar Maharaj ji, who lived right here in a cottage. One of his disciples, Swami Sanshudhanand ji, now stays there.

The temple complex is an ideal area for meditation. You can either pressure to the temple or chose to trek. It’s no longer a properly paved trekking path but a slim mud route via the fruit orchards and coniferous forest that locals use. A lovely nature walk of round 2 hours will take you to hill pinnacle. It’s an easy trek and can easily be achieved through the beginners.
