About Mehkar
Mehkar is a city and a metropolitan committee in Buldhana locale in the Indian province of Maharashtra. It was already known as 'Meghankar Nagari'. Kanchani Mahal is an old building. It is a fantasy that Queen Kanchani was extremely self important and wanted to see the Lamp of Devi Lonar from Mehkar. She developed this Mahal yet when she went to the porch of Mahal god revile her, she tumbled down and turn into a chunk of stone.
The aforementioned landmark is at present in ruins because of absence of consideration from the ASI. Nonetheless, the story associated with KANCHANI MAHAL is by all accounts a legend. Taking a gander at the vestiges one could without much of a stretch check that the blocks are of Mughalia shapes and the landmark would have been developed to house and camp a general or Shahenshah of Aurangazeb's stature amid Great Shivaji's period in their battle to squash the ascending of the colossal Maratha warrior.
Mehkar is on the banks of the Painganga River, another name of Paingnga waterway is ‘Pranhita', which gives ious recreational exercises. On the bank of this waterway there is saoji galli, In it there is an old vitthal mandir rather first vitthal mandir in mehkar, Idol of this vitthal, got in hands of Kimbahune Anster in Vari, to Ananta Shastri, it was extremely religious place. P. P. Pralhadh Maharaj Reads Bhagwat many time.
