About Mausam River
River Mausam is a seasonal river flowing through the heart of the town of Malegaon. Owing to a barrage just before the River enters the town, the river almost has no clean water besides all through the rainy season. Malegaon is a small town near Nasik in Maharashtra with a populace of a little over 500,000. There is not any Sewage Treatment Plant within the city, owing to which, the whole untreated sewage of 75 MLD is tired at once into the River Mausam.
There is one massive commercial unit there in Malegaon that is engaged in bleaching and mercerizing of grey material. Semi-treated, commercial effluent of 1.5 MLD capacity is drained at once into the River Mausam. River is a herbal flowing watercourse, normally freshwater, flowing in the direction of an ocean, sea, lake or another river. In some instances a river flows into the ground and will become dry at the give up of its path without attaining every other body of water.
