Satti Chaura Ghat or Massacre Ghat is a famous ghat in Kanpur, the commercial hub of Uttar Pradesh country in north India. It is positioned at the bank of the River Ganges in Kanpur close to Jajmau. Satichaura or embankment of satis were a place years in the past a few women had dedicated sati and in commemoration a small temple with stone steps alongside the bank to facilitate bathing, were built. The origins of the ghat date to pre-colonial instances.
