Manebhanjan

Manebhanjan is a small town in the vicinity of Darjeeling, frequented by adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. It is the base for the popular Sandakphu Trek. The famous Rhododendron trek and the Himalayan Run & Trek are also organised from here. There is a short trekking route to reach the town as well.

The name “manebhanjan” translates as “the junction of Stupas” in Nepali language. The Singalila National park is located nearby and sees a lot of visitors. Tourists can embark on an interesting wildlife safari through the park. The Singalila Ridge is the highest point in West Bengal. The hills are a part of the Lesser Himalayas. The surrounding forest ecosystem is beautiful.
