MANANCHIRA SQUARE

At a separation of 1 Km from Kozhikode Railway Station, the Mananchira Square is an authentic place, now changed over to a diversion focus, in the core of Kozhikode City. This notable place, adjoining Manachira has been changed over as a recreation center with lovely plants, simulated slope, bushes, mold, an outdoors theater and a melodic wellspring. The Palace Tank of previous King Mana Vikrama here is a show of fine design. The partnership of Kozhikode oversees Mananchira Square. The remodeled square today houses essential structures, for example, Commonwealth Trust Factory, Town Hall, Lalitkala Academy Hall, Jama'atpalli Mosque and Muchhandipalli Mosque, the most seasoned in Kerala. This is the setting of Malabar Mahotsavam held from Jan thirteenth to sixteenth consistently, which is a social celebration that features hundreds of years old rich social legacy of Kerala. Melodic shows, kathakali, mohiniyattom, ottanthullal, koothu, theyyam and Thira are organized amid the celebration.
