Mahatma Gandhi Park

Mahatma Gandhi Park is an open park arranged close Kollam Beach in the city of Kollam, Kerala, India. It is around 2 km far from Chinnakada The downtown area of 'Cashew Capital of the World'. It is one of the fundamental focuses of recreational exercises in Kollam city. The recreation center is possessed by Kollam Municipal Corporation and is worked by Rural Tourism Development Company, a private firm, on contract for a time of five years for maintenance. 'The Quilon Beach' five star hotel Formerly known as Beach Orchid is situated close to this park.

Mahatma Gandhi Park was opened on January 1, 1967 by the then Vice President of India, Zakir Hussein. There was a recreation center complex involved a deer stop and an aquarium at that point, yet shut down because of the inconveniences from hostile to socials. Later in 2010, Kollam Municipal Corporation has allocated cash for the remodel of the recreation center and the revamped stop was initiated by Mrs. Prasanna Earnest, the then Mayor of Kollam, marks the Golden celebration of MG Beach stop at Kollam. It is one of the great place in this city. Tourists come here from all over the world to visit this place.
