Kurinji Andavar Temple

Located about 3 km faraway from Kodaikanal Lake, Kurinji Andavar Temple is one among Kodaikanal's most respected locations of worship. Built below the patronisation of Leelavathi Ramanathan within the year 1936, this temple is dedicated to the 'God of the Hills'- Lord Muruga. The stunning surroundings, characterized by means of undulating wooded area-covered terrains, exude monstrous herbal splendor. The name 'Kurinji Andavar' is derived from the Kurinji flower that may be discovered in seemingly limitless numbers in the valleys of the hill station. Lord Muruga, the temple's primary deity, is often referred to as as 'Sri Kurinji Easware' which means the Lord of the Kurinjis. A primary spotlight of the temple is its predominant gopuram.
