About Koraput
Koraput is a district of Odisha, India, and known for rich and diverse types of mineral deposits. It is situated along the Eastern Ghats. Koraput locale was led by a few administrations, for example, Satavahanas, Ikshvakus, Nalas, Ganga rulers and lords of Surya vansha. In old occasions when the Nalas ruled this tract with Pushkari close present day Umarkote was their capital city. In the medieval period Nandapur created as the capital under the Silavamsi rulers and after them under the rulers of the sun oriented line.
Viravikrama Deo of the sunlight based administration moved his cash-flow to Jeypore about the center of the seventeenth century and formed into a succeeded town. Koraput went under the French ownership in 1753 A.D. Around then the French General was Bussy, who got it from Nizam. Anand Raju, the Raja of Vijayanagarm welcomed the English to remove the French from the Sarkar. On first Dec, 1758 A.D., at Rajahmundry an unequivocal fight occurred where the French were crushed. The Raja of Jeypore Ramachandra Deo 1781-1825 A.D. was conceded a perpetual Sanand by the British. With the walk of time, Jeypore Estate was regulated straightforwardly by the British under the Act XXVI of 1839.
