The Kolleru Bird Sanctuary is around 15 km far from Eluru town in the West Godai District of Andhra Pradesh. This haven is spread crosswise over 673 sq km of wetland and bogs that encompass the celebrated Kolleru Lake. Kolleru is situated amongst Krishna and Godai deltas. The perfect time to visit this haven is from October through May.
Kolleru Lake is one of the biggest freshwater lakes in India situated in territory of Andhra Pradesh 15 kilometers from the city of Eluru. The critical flying creatures found in this asylum are open bill stork, dim heron, painted stork, tern, coot, duck, reef heron, egret, cormorant, polished ibis, jacana and normal moorhen.
