Khairabad

Khairabad is a town in the Sitapur area of Uttar Pradesh. It is 8 km from Sitapur on National Highway 24, around 80 km from the state capital Lucknow. The Municipal Board leads the undertakings of the town. The town is said to have been established by Khaira Pasi, in the mid eleventh century. It was along these lines taken under lock and key by a Kayasth family. In later years, many lease free gives of land were made to Muslims who came in substantial numbers amid the rules of Babar and Akbar, yet these gifts were altogether continued by the Nawab of Oudh in the mid 1800s. The name still exists at the designation of a tank, the waters of which are said to have mending properties, and which is classified "Maswasi Talao". It was a major exchanging focus, where Kashmiri shawls, Jewels of Birmingham and Elephants of Assam were exchanged. The East India Company orchestrated to trade the handloom garments made in Khairabad and Dariyabagh. Biswan was well known for earthen ceramics. In 1886, craftsmen from Biswan got bronze award in domain presentation held at London, for imaginative showcase on earthen pots. The area was likewise well known for engraved entryway boards.
