About KBR National Park
The KBR National Park is situated close Jubilee Hill check post in the core of Hyderabad City. Named after the previous Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh late Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, it covers a region of 156 hectares. It was set up in 1994 to protect the biodiversity and wealth of the territory. The fauna contains around 113 types of winged animals, 20 types of reptiles, 15 types of butterflies, 20 types of well evolved creatures and ious spineless creatures.
It houses the stately Chiran castle of the previous Nizam of Hyderabad. The recreation center has about 600 types of trees, bushes, climbers, herbs, grasses, other than a few pteridophytes, bryophytes and xerophytes. The recreation center was remodeled in 2001/2002 to make a shut walkway around the recreation center.
