About Karna Lake
Karna Lake is a major traveller appeal within the Karnal district of Haryana. It is positioned at a distance of 125 km from both Chandigarh and Delhi, therefore serving as a midway halt at the same time as visiting among the two cities on the famous Grand Trunk Road. Folklore has it that Karna, a famous person from Indian history, who performed a major function inside the warfare of Mahabharat, used to bathe in this lake. It was at this spot that he gave away his defensive armor to Indra, the Godfather of Arjuna, Karna's arch-enemy.
It is surmised that the city of Karnal derives its name from Karna-Taal, which interprets to Karna Lake. That may also be the motive for Karnal to be known as the City of Karna in local parlance. Lake is a place full of water, localized in a basin, this is surrounded by means of land, aside from any river or other outlet that serves to feed or drain the lake. Lakes lie on land and aren't part of the sea, and therefore are distinct from lagoons, and are also large and deeper than ponds, though there are not any authentic or scientific definitions. Lakes may be contrasted with rivers or streams, which are usually flowing.
