About Kargil War Memorial

Kargil War Memorial is a war memorial constructed by Indian Army. One may find the memorial beside the Srinagar-Leh Highway. The memorial is a memorial of gratitude towards the bravery they paved to the nation. It is dedicated to the soldiers and officers who fought the epic battle during the year 1999 which was popular by then the Kargil War.

The memorial listed all the names of officers and soldiers who martyred in the war. The place sells hats, t-shirts, coffee mugs and much more. The Main element is those of the sandstones which engraves the name of all the personae of bravery. One may look at some peaks where the Indian army captures the Pakistan troop.
